I don’t quite know where to start here when talking about Anita Moorjani and her near death experience…. It’s difficult when discussing something as seemingly intangible as an experience such as this – especially when it happened to someone else, and someone I have not had the pleasure or honor of meeting (yet!).
For the last couple of months I have been reading and listening to Anita Moorjani, a young woman who on February 2, 2006, was in the final stages of a cancer that had devastated her body. On the morning of February 2nd of that year, she was brought to the hospital, in a coma, and was expected to die within a day or so – at most.
Now, first of all, you might be wondering WHY on earth I would suddenly be totally fascinated – almost consumed, really – by a near death experience story of a woman I had never heard of. I’m not the type of person who talks much about death to begin with…
But let me say this: If you have NOT yet heard about this incredible woman and her story, you soon will. No doubt that this story is gonna go viral. It’s just far too powerful to NOT be spread around the world…
To write what I feel about Anita Moorjani, and what I have learned from her is beyond the scope of this post, so I am writing an entire page (or it may turn out to be several pages) about it.
My greatest challenges in writing about Anita are:
1) how do I convey to you the critical importance of what she has brought back from her experience, and
2) how on earth do I categorize it? I finally decided to place this under the “Life Strategies for Success” section of my website – and here’s why: What Anita has to say is, I feel, one of the underlying “basics” of living a fulfilling and successful life.
I fully believe that remembering and bringing her message into our day-to-day life will help us in ALL areas of our lives – whether we’re talking about “Healthy Living” (we’ll naturally begin moving in that direction),” “Entrepreneurial Strategies” (our strategies will naturally fit who we are), “Career and Job” (again, we’ll begin to shift toward what is best for US as individuals), “Goals and Motivation” (we won’t be able to help being motivated and inspired), and even in the case of seeking “Internet Marketing Education” (we’ll begin to know, instinctively, what is right for us).
If you are reading this website, chances are good you have heard of Dr. Wayne Dyer, the famous and brilliant motivational and self-help author and teacher. Dr. Dyer has certainly had his own challenges throughout his life, and it was while I was watching a video of him discussing the cancer that he has been experiencing that I first heard of Anita Moorjani and her near death experience.
Dr. Wayne Dyer was blown away by her story, and I thought, “Hmmm… if this woman’s experience has had such a profound effect on Wayne Dyer, I need to take a look at who she is and what all the hoop-la is about.”
Hoop-la indeed. I watched one video about her. I went to her site. I went to a near death experience website. I went back to her site. I watched the video again. I listened to a few of her radio interviews. I watched the video again. And again. And then again.
Then, I found ANOTHER 2-part video interview from a slightly different perspective – this one going deeper into her “awakening” as it were.
Then… I found myself saying, “Kathy… you need to put this stuff on your website. People who need hope or help about figuring out ‘who they are’ need to hear Anita.” And so, I have decided to spread the word here.
I hope you are as inspired as I am! 🙂
