This morning, while making my fruit and green breakfast smoothie, it occurred to me that it would be a good addition to the Healthy Living Tips section of the website!It has been quite a while since John and I disembarked from the good ship “SAD” (aka Standard American Diet). I still like my share of junk food, and am certainly not an extremist – but more and more, we find ourselves just eating higher quality foods, and less and less of low-quality and “dead” foods.
We just feel better when we incorporate more “live” foods into our lifestyle.
So, these days we tend to make a lot more use of our good ol’ Vita-Mix that we’ve had for years (compliments of my Dad – Thanks Dad!). We have become VERY fond of our smoothies.
