A Little Poem: What is Santa?

What or Who is REALLY Santa?

What or Who is REALLY "Santa?"

Here is a little poem I wrote about Santa… (NB: I have worked in Malls, and no longer do much “Christmas Shopping” the way it is encouraged by the media)

Apologies to Dr. Seuss for the style!

Maybe he’s mom,
Maybe he’s pop.
Or one of the thousands
Of folks in the shop…

Maybe that cranky one
Trampling another
To get that “must have it”
For sissy or brother…

But I prefer knowing
That Santa’s a presence
You can’t find on TV
Or in purchasing presents…

Santa’s a smile to
That miserable shopper
(You know the one!
You wanted to pop her!)

He’s that donation of food,
Or toys or some money
Given in joy, and
When finally done, he…

Gives more, and more still!
Then… in peace, you will see…
You suddenly don’t care
What’s under your tree.

The end.

Hey… but that’s just me. Guess I’ll do some baking now and send cookies to my friends and family. 🙂

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Peace to All!

Kath
